Building more skills. Suitable for those who have experience with a digital compact or SLR camera and are keen to improve their photography. This course includes practical outdoors activity sessions, covering composition; trees, water & reflections, shooting into the light, exposure, contrast and silhouette. It reviews the camera modes of aperture and shutter priority to help you capture great images of landscapes, people and wild life. Tripod useful.
MOST OF THE TIME WILL BE SPENT ON PRACTICAL FIELD TRIPS OUTDOORS.
Do ensure you have good footwear, waterproofs in case of showers and adequate protection for your camera.

The programme includes location briefings, a visit to Cannop Ponds or Lydney Harbour covering composition, outdoor portraits, camera control, low light, capturing motion, wildlife & water, image review & editing, and a hints & tips session. Detail timings, locations and programme order depends on weather and exterior conditions. If it is a great day we will spend more time in the woods and river locations outside, if its sunshine and showers we may spend more time at forest visitor centres.

This intermediate course takes you onwards and upwards using your camera creatively for landscape, outdoor portraits and wild life.
Ewart has trekked through the landscapes of Severn and Wye as a geographer, geologist and teacher. His experience includes twenty years of photography & digital images and more recently leading photo skills & Adobe Photoshop courses at an international technology academy.
